XS Sconce is a wall-mounted light sculpture developed from an ongoing material practice rooted in surface, texture, and hand-applied finish. Positioned between sculpture and functional light, the work treats illumination as subtle and atmospheric rather than dominant.

Each piece is built by hand using layered gesso and hand-applied finishes. The surface is shaped slowly through an additive process that preserves irregularity, depth, and material variation. No two pieces are identical.

A narrow-recessed aperture introduces light into the form. Rather than acting as a direct source of illumination, it reveals edge, depth, and surface. Unlit, the work holds as a sculptural object on the wall. Lit, it quietly shifts the perception of the piece and the space around it.

The XS Sconce measures approximately 16 inches in height by 6 inches in width. Its scale is more intimate, allowing it to function as a singular accent or in multiples.
