The XL Floor Lamp is a freestanding light sculpture developed from an ongoing material practice rooted in surface, texture, and hand-applied finish. Positioned between sculpture and functional light, the work treats illumination as subtle and atmospheric rather than dominant. Each piece is built by hand using layered gesso and hand-applied finishes.

The form explores a contrast between precious metal leaf and a cold rolled steel structure with a

natural rust patina, creating a tension between refinement and rawness.

The sculptural element is supported by a simple steel stand, allowing the work to rest in space with balance and restraint.
